Suspected sea pirates, attacked a military checkpoint in Nembe, Bayelsa state, killing four soldiers and a policeman.
Vanguard reports that the incident occurred at about
11.30am at the Nembe waterfront.
The attackers were allegedly in search of arms and ammunition. A security source said the gunmen stormed the military checkpoint from land and water.
